Golf Club Pravets (Bulgaria)

Design an 18 hole golf course for TERRA TOUR with generous training facilities. Design the complete masterplan by providing footprints and locations of the clubhouse, extension to the existing hotel, villas, town houses, roads, bungalows, children's playgrounds, marinas and recreational facilities. The master plan was approved at the beginning of November 2005 and submissions for the various building permits were submitted in June 2006. Construction for Phase 1 started on the 15th of October 2007.

Peter visited Pravets on the 23.06.09 to check the latest preparations for seeding. The academy and maintenance buildings are under construction, pathways, bridges and irrigation installation is moving slowly but surely.

The programme and progress is still on track to open 6 holes in the autumn although the delay in obtaining the building permits for the permanent pump irrigation station has delayed seeding.

08 May 2009: Site Visit

Work is progressing slowly but surely in Pravets. Delays are being caused by the late approval for the construction of the pump station which has caused a postponement to the seeding.

A soft opening of 6 holes, driving range and practice facilities is scheduled for the end of September 2009.
