The 9 hole resort course remains extremely popular.
The course was designed by Peter Harradine and opened in 1998 and since 1999 was the venue of the prestigious "Jebel Ali Hotel Challenge" which included players such as Seve Ballesteros, Nick Faldo, Padraig Harrington, Paul Lawrie, Justin Leonard, Colin Montgomerie, Greg Norman, Thomas Bjorn, Darren Clarke, Jose Maria Olazabal, Mark O'Meara, Lee Westwood, Tiger Woods and Ben Curtis.
Nick Weller is the superintendant responsible for the pristine condition of this course throughout the year.
The Jebel Ali Golf Resort & Spa performed extremely well at the 2007 14th Annual World Travel Awards which are voted for by travel agents worldwide. The resort walked away with two very prestigious awards namely Dubai's Leading Golf Resort and Middle East's Leading Golf Resort.
The prestigious "Travel Weekly Magazine" voted the Jebel Ali Course the "Best Resort Golf Course in the Middle East" along with such famous names as St. Andrews for Europe and Fancourt for Africa. |
