Harradine Golf was a sponsor of the 3rd European Golf Business Conference, held in Berlin earlier this month. More than 200 participants from the golf industry attended the conference and used the opportunity to share their thoughts about important new issues facing today’s golfing industry.

Peter Harradine was invited to talk about Golf Architecture “In Perspective” but concentrating on “The Big Change”. Peter managed to gain the full attention of the audience for 45 minutes as he presented his well known thoughts on “Professional signatories”, “Computer Design”, “Templates”, “Improved playing equipment”, Real Estate and Par 72 Championship golf courses” and “Environmentalists”.

During the presentation, Peter emphasized the importance of Landscape Architecture as the basic discipline in understanding the environment, as well as the importance of the EIGCA in providing access to learned, qualified and experienced golf architects. This was one more opportunity to offer a brief insight into some of the courses designed throughout the 3 generations of the Harradine family as well as some examples of the great work being created by the current Harradine Golf team.
