Ecology |
|
|
Research, co-operation and investigations with the concerned authorities, administrations and associations in order to design projects that fully comply with local and national ecological and environmental conditions and requirements.
Ecological and environmental organizations are involved in the definition of “no-go” areas within and adjacent to each site before we start the preliminary designs. Initial discussions with all concerned parties allow the team to find solutions that will facilitate the release of building permits.
If the golf course infringes on valuable ecological areas, we try to move the offending fairway, tee or green or find other compensating solutions such as the creation of new ecological zones and areas that can be colonized by indigenous flora and fauna.
Switzerland has the world's toughest requirements and legislation regarding environment and ecology. Harradine Golf have been awarded the WWF price for two of their courses in Switzerland. |
