Peter's eldest son Michael graduated as a landscape architect at the HSR Hochschule fuer Technik in Rapperswil (Switzerland). A degree in that profession is certainly one of the obligatory pre-requisites to become a good golf course architect. Michael was a very good tennis player but to Peter's great delight he abandoned tennis and started playing golf. Peter insisted that he should not spend much time on the golf course as his schooling and degree were definitely a priority. Very few golfers make it to the top so it was more important to obtain a degree first. After playing on the amateur circuit for 5 years during which time he played off a handicap of +3 and was part of the Swiss National team, Michael has finally joined the company full time. Just imagine a golf course architect who is a good golfer with an appropriate education, heritage and background! |
